The electronic vignette is mandatory for passenger vehicles under 3.5 tonnes using the road network, including those powered by:
Validity starts immediately or on any day you choose within 90 days of purchase. Driving without a valid e-vignette: a fine of €300; improperly transferring the registration plate linked to an e-vignette to a different vehicle or toll class: a fine of €500. If you selected a validity start date different from the purchase date, you may withdraw and obtain a full refund before the e-vignette becomes valid (refunded by DARS within 14 days of approval).
