The electronic vignette is mandatory for passenger vehicles under 3.5 tonnes using the road network, including those powered by:
Daily/10-day/monthly vignettes take effect from the moment of purchase unless you choose a start date yourself. Annual vignettes (national and regional M1) are valid from purchase until 31 January of the following year, not for 365 calendar days. Driving without a valid vignette triggers a differential toll surcharge (pótdíj) — confirmed directly with the official operator: 27,790 HUF if paid within 60 days, 95,730 HUF after. Refund policy is not published — contact EVIGNETTE customer support for any order issue.
